He has been a much-loved presence around the barn and carries himself like a true workhorse with a gentle,

steady mind. Axel enjoys a relaxed lifestyle, appreciates a good afternoon nap, and is best suited for light work rather than demanding or strenuous riding. He has an old injury to his left hind leg that can cause some stiffness or soreness following long or hard work sessions. With appropriate management and a sensible workload, Axel remains comfortable and willing. This big, powerful gelding is well trained and capable of walking, trotting, loping, backing, disengaging his hips, and pivoting his shoulders. Once trust and partnership are established, Axel can be ridden both under saddle and bareback. He is dependable and honest, especially

with a rider who values a calm, unhurried approach.

Axel stands quietly for the farrier and veterinarian and is easy to handle for routine care. He is fully up to date on vaccinations, deworming, and has had his teeth floated.
