DOTTIE
ADOPTABLE - Dottie is a 2023 Wind River Reservation rescue and sorrel filly with the cutest interrupted stripe on her face—earning her the perfect name. She is a sweet, people-oriented young mare who will meet you at the gate and happily soak up attention.
Dottie can be a bit anxious in her own skin and is currently learning how to regulate her emotions in a safe, confident way. With consistent, patient handling, she continues to make steady progress and shows a willingness to learn.
She already has a nice start on the ground, including disengaging her hips and shoulders, backing, and lunging. Dottie thrives on interaction but is still learning how to be comfortable standing still and being alone, so she will benefit from continued guidance and reassurance.

Our precious rescues are available for adoption to vetted and qualified homes. If you are interested in adopting, please reach out to us at info@libertysanctuary.org. Please let us know who you are interested in adopting and why. We would like to get to know you and see your facility so it would be great if you could send us a video tour of your set up. You will be asked to list your veterinarian, farrier and trainer if applicable.
Liberty will co-own the horse with you for its first year. Any horse can be returned to Liberty for any reason.
