ADOPTABLE - Asher is a 2023 bay gelding who was rescued from a Texas auction and is just beginning his journey with humans. Young and impressionable, he is still learning that people can be kind and trustworthy. While he is currently unsure about human interaction, he is showing signs of curiosity and a willingness to learn. With time, patience, and gentle handling, Asher has the potential to become a loyal and trusting partner.Though he is still growing, Asher is already showing athleticism and grace. His deep bay coat and expressive eyes make him a stunning presence in the pasture. Asher is a biblical name from the Old Testament meaning happy and blessed. Dark ash from a cleansing fire also reminds us of this boy’s beautiful dark coat.
Asher is observant, sensitive, and thoughtful. While he is still cautious around people, he is beginning to show interest in his surroundings and is learning by watching his more confident herd mates.
Watching Asher take his first steps toward trust has been incredibly rewarding. His willingness to explore and learn gives us hope for a bright future with the right patient adopter.

Our precious rescues are available for adoption to vetted and qualified homes. If you are interested in adopting, please reach out to us at info@libertysanctuary.org. Please let us know who you are interested in adopting and why. We would like to get to know you and see your facility so it would be great if you could send us a video tour of your set up. You will be asked to list your veterinarian, farrier and trainer if applicable.
Each Liberty horse comes with Ashley Dudas' Equine Partner Promise and a 1 month subscription to The Savvy Equestrian online learning platform to support you and your new horse in your initial stage of development.
Liberty will co-own the horse with you for its first year. Any horse can be returned to Liberty for any reason.
