NIKEATA

Nikeata is a 2020 dark buckskin mustang mare with a big personality packed into a small frame. Standing no taller than approximately 13 hands, she is full of sass, confidence, and character. This little mare is expressive and bold, especially when interacting with her herd.

Nikeata does form connections with people, though in the early stages as she searches for trust, boundaries, and guidance. She enjoys running the paddock and happily chases the bigger mares, showing her playful and assertive nature.

At this time, Nikeata is not catchable, but she is approachable when handled thoughtfully. She does best when not startled and when her attention is not pulled away from her food. She will require an experienced, confident handler who understands mustang behavior and is willing to build trust slowly and clearly.

Nikeata would be best suited for a knowledgeable home that appreciates a bold, opinionated mustang and is committed to consistent, patient groundwork to help her develop confidence and manners. The name   Nikeata is Native American meaning "wild rose". To Native Americans in many western tribes, wild roses were a symbol of life. It also represents survival and vitality.  

Nikeata is a sweet and soulful girl who gravitates to the herd leader.  Her unique coloring and striking markings make her endearing to all who meet her.
