Porter (fka Truck) is a 2011 Mustang Gelding. His freeze brand reads 13628974 and he was captured in Belle Fourche, SD. Porter was rescued in 2023 and brought to Liberty from Colorado. After working with him, we discovered he is already halter broke and knows how to walk on a lead rope politely. Porter likes people and is a quick learner who will progress very nicely as his education continues. Porter is brave and curious of new experiences. He thrives with variety and picks up on things very quickly so he will keep humans on their toes, in a good way! Eager to interact and learn Porter if often the first to meet humans at the gate and readily puts effort into connecting and playing with humans. When a volunteer draped a jacket over the gate, he was the first to approach and investigate. Porter loves cuddles and will walk right up to greet people. When someone stops petting him, he’ll gently reach out with his nose like a dog to get more attention and scritches. Porter is a 15.6 HH bay gelding with black markings on his legs and a cute light brown muzzle.
Nick named "Party Boy," Porter is always ready for a good time! He has the brain to train and is a very confident and playful and inquisitive. He’s the brave one of the group and is mid-herd in the pasture pecking order.
Porter is open and curious with a lovable Golden Retriever personality.
