Coupled with a lobbying and public relations push on both coasts, this campaign is designed bye to spur awareness, increase congressional support, and help pass the SAFE Act—permanently closing the slaughter pipeline.
This isn’t euthanasia. It’s not compassion. It’s a shadowy, for-profit industry enabled by a legal loophole.

We had such a great day with Ashley Avis filming at Liberty Sanctuary on the set of The Lost Horses! We are grateful for the Wild Beauty Foundation's leadership and total commitment to wildlife with an especially meaningful voice for America’s most vulnerable horses: THE LOST HORSES. We stand with you in the journey to help pass the SAFE Act! Thanks for all you do! #losthorses #passthesafeact #makeyournexthorsearescue

Liberty Sanctuary is a leading equine nonprofit dedicated to protecting America’s most vulnerable horses and banning the slaughter of our cherished American equines. We rescue equines from the slaughter pipeline and offer comprehensive care, training, and adoption programs. Liberty is also home to more wild horses than any sanctuary in Utah. We offer horsemanship clinics to the public and working student opportunities. Liberty is home to over 30 rescued horses cared for by over 60 volunteers. Our national advocacy efforts include launching SAFEACT.org and helping to energize The Lost Horses campaign to support the Save America's Forgotten Equines Act currently in Congress. Our work has been featured on ABC News, Fox News, Good Things Utah, Good Day Utah, Salt Lake Tribune, Park Record, NPR, and more. The USDA estimated that approximately
92.3 % of horses sent to slaughter are in good condition
and could have lived productive lives
We would love to have you come visit and meet the animals who call Liberty Sanctuary home. Visits can be arranged by appointment. We request a donation of $100/adult and $25/child. Please contact us at info@libertysanctuary.org for further details. We can also work to customize an extra special visit, horse clinic or corporate event. Thank you!
" Your passion for Liberty Sanctuary is truly contagious. I have left inspired and motivated by the incredible work you do. The love and care you give to these beautiful animals is truly remarkable, and it was an honor to witness it."
